Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social studies or related
  • Having 1-3 years experience in a related position

Preffered Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing data and using results to create and refine program development plans required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the water field and collegiate environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated group facilitation experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite; proficiency in database management strongly preferred
  • A member-centric relationship builder with adaptability to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with program planning and implementation, providing new ideas for Community Development
  • Responsible for creating a delightful Community Journey Experience to further enhance the engagement of existing members and serve as the main vehicle to attract new/potential members.
  • Implement Membership Touch Point Analysis, which covers various sources of member-related information as a base for research and study protocols to contribute to planning future programs and establishing new operating policies that are more inclusive and friendly to members.
  • Regularly create and analyze budgets for each program to minimize unnecessary expenditure, which may involve relatively complex budgetary planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to create community campaigns that are aligned with the objective of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of members and resources.
  • Create information and communications vehicles that inform all related parties about the details of programs and campaigns.
  • Contribute articles, blog posts, and other written materials to the website or social media.

About The Role

In general, the main role of a Community Development Specialist is to coordinate all aspects of multiple programs for ATTN. The incumbent is in charge of overseeing each program’s planning, budgeting, execution and program goals from start to finish.

The Community Developmet Specialist position is crucial in determining the success of each program. Community Development Specialists typically work in an office environment, though they may also travel to various events and meetings depending on the needs of each program.
